Saterday 18- and sunday 19 julie 2009 we had the 5e Grand-Prix skateboarding in Rotterdam. In the middle of the centre, next to the Erasmusbbridge they built a fantastic parcours.
Saterday satarted with a little rain, but in the afternoon the sun appears, and stayed the whole weekend. The compatitors came from 22 nations.
The street course, built by IOU-Ramps was well respected.
A three different level containing street course included ledges, stairs, rails and marble ledge. Not to forget the huge wembley with a ledge to bank.
Each skateboarder got three ridesdown, and than a jamsession for six minutes in heats of six.
Tim Zom was not only the croed’s favourite, he ruled the course from the first minute like it was just built for him and also qualified first on saterday.

The finals started sunday under a blue sky, and twelve skateboarders did the best they can and made the crowd scream.
Tim Zom (crowd’s favorite) was placed as number one also by the judges.
Bastien Salabanzi, who won the WSR in 2005, became second again and on the third place was Rob Maatman (from Holland).
This all porves that Rotterdam is here to stay as a solid city for skateboarders.
