Monday 28e June: two games in the 1/8 finale.
At 17.00 Holland – Slowakia in Durban.
Again Holland played a solid game, and just the result counts.
Robben made a great goal in the first half and Sneijder in the second half 2-0 The referee gives a present (penalty) to Slowakia: 2-1.
So, Holland one step closer to their dream (The Big Finale)! 🙂
Anyway the next game in the 1/4 finale is against Brasil.
At 21.30 the second game in Johannesburg, Brasil – Chili.
Brasil was much better than Chili, but still have the feeling that they are saving their energy and only play on the result.
Anyway 3-0 is more than enough to go to the 1/4 finale where they will meet Holland.
Thuesday 29e June; The last two game in the 1/8 finale.
At 17.00 in Johannesburg, Paraguay – Japan.
Both teams where afraid to loose, and had not much chances to make a goal. So after 90 minutes still 0-0. In the Extra-Time (30 minutes) also no score. Finally they have to shoot penalty’s and Paraguay made 5 and Japan 3. So Paraguay goes to the 1/4 finale.
At 21.30 in Cape-Town Spain – Portugal.
It was an exciting game and at half-time still 0-0.
The second halve was to Spain, and it wasn’t a surprise that they made the 1-0. And the favorite of many people won and goes to the 1/4 finale.
