4 and 5 may are national moments in Holland. When we stand still at the victims of war. (WW-II) These moments we have to realise how fragil freedom is. Just in this National moments it’s important to show and express this solidarity.

This year our Queen Beatrix will visit two cities in the province Zeeland. Zeeland is a province in the south/west of Holland. The two cities she and her family will vist are Wemeldinge and Middelburg. Middelburg is the Capitol city of Zeeland.

In my memories from childhood, easter was just like Christmass, in the first place a religious event. Easter in Holland is just like Christmas, more and more a family feast without knowledge of the origin. So it’s good to start with a little history.
