The ingrediënts you need:400 gr. porksteak, 3 spareribs, 1 smoked sausage, 1 bay leave, ½ table spoon peppercorns, 2 stock-cubes, 1 celeriac, 1 leek, 2 potatoes, 250 gr. split/peas, 1 tin peas, selderie, salt.
To prepare:
Start with ± 2 liter water in a big pan, heat it and put in the (washed split peas).
Boil it for about 30 minutes and put of the foam from time to time. Than low the heating and put in the meat, the bay-leave, the peppercorns, the stock-cubes and a little salt and boil it for about two hours.
After that put in the peas (from tin), the potatoes (in little pieces), the Leek (cut in rings) and the Celeriac (in little pieces) and let it boil for 15 minutes.
Than take out the meat, remove the bones and cut it in pieces.
Put the meat back in the pan and also the smoked sausage for another 15 minutes.
Ready! 🙂
Serve the soup in a big cup and garnish it with selderie.
Serve it with rey-bread and smoked bacon.
